Liepāja Symphony Orchestra is announcing an open competition for the second concertmaster position of II violin group

The competition will take place at the concert hall “Lielais dzintars” (at Radio iela 8, Liepāja) on 20 April 2026 at 13:00.

Requirements for the Applicants:

  • - Professional music degree in violin performance or a music college student.
  • - Experience with working in an orchestra.
  • - Ability to work in the main job with the LSO.

Major duties:

  • - Prepare and play the violin group II sections of the orchestra in high artistic quality.
  • - Comply with the work schedules and compositions, internal rules and regulations of the LSO.
  • - Maintain and improve individual skills throughout the contract validity period.

  • 2) Copies of documents certifying your academic degree and documents on further education; for students – a statement issued by their educational institution.

Monthly salary for the full-time job is EUR 1650  before taxes stipulated in the rules and regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
