On July 30, Rundāle Palace will host the Festival “The Sounds of Liepāja at Rundāle Palace” organized by the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra – this year it will offer the audience four different events with a single themed motif “A ball at the Palace”.
The Festival “The Sounds of Liepāja at Rundāle Palace” will end at 22.00 in the French Garden, at the foot of the stairs of the Palace, with the Clarinet Quintet K.581 in A Major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the “Rundāle Quintet” for clarinet and string quartet by Georgs Pelēcis.
These compositions, together with the Liepāja String Quartet under the direction of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Līga Baltābola, will be performed by the outstanding clarinetist Guntis Kuzma, who will take the position of the chief conductor of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra this autumn.
