The outstanding Polish musicians — cellist Bartosz Koziak and pianist Krzysztof Książek — will present an exquisite program at the Liepāja International Stars Festival, where the heart of Polish Romanticism meets the charm of Paris and the threads of elegant musical enchantment.
The concert will feature both the sensual and deeply personal chamber music of Frédéric Chopin and works by 20th-century Polish composers Simon Laks, Roman Ryterband, and Aleksander Tansman, characterized by a modernity inspired by the Parisian light and a poignant emotional atmosphere.
The Koziak-Książek duo is among the ten finest ensembles selected by the Polish Ministry of Culture to represent the country during the 2025/26 concert season, affirming their high artistic calibre.
Bartosz Koziak is regarded as one of the brightest Polish cellists — his playing is like an emotional narrative, with every note revealing a new nuance. Krzysztof Książek, meanwhile, is not only an excellent interpreter of Chopin’s music but also a pianist who has won the hearts of many listeners with his virtuosity and emotional depth.
