This concert unfolds like a journey without a map—guided not by directions, but by intuition.

Flautist Egija Sproģe, French horn player Ingus Novicāns, and pianist Edgars Tomševics lead listeners through landscapes where classical and contemporary music merge into a single current. From French impressionism to modern rhythms, from breathless solos to intimate dialogue—each piece is like a wave in the ocean, carrying the boat towards new stories.

The programme weaves together Ravel’s impressionistic The Boat on the Ocean and Ian Clarke’s dynamic and playful works, while a special atmosphere is created by pieces that speak in a gentler, yet no less powerful voice. Grieg’s Nordic lyricism, Altmanis’ Autumn Tango with its nostalgic elegance, Beeftink’s Fireflies, and Ewazen’s Dance— each becomes a moment of stillness—an invitation to presence.

The Boat on the Ocean is a feeling. A feeling of surrendering to the current, not knowing where it will lead.
